Pedestrian Bridge (08/28/12)
Omaha (City) – My first trip to Henry Doorly Zoo (08/18/12)
Omaha, sunny. No, not sunny but HOT AS HELL. (The hairstyle is keeping.)
This
evening a new friend (Boj) from Omaha took me to the Pedestrian Bridge which crosses
the border of Nebraska and Iowa. I really good place to be for sunset, have
look by yourself:
On Saturday, 18th of August all international students from
UNO were invited to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. Due to the rain we focused
on the indoor attractions like the aquarium or the jungle. But to give you an
impression I will use some more pictures this time than text:
See you next time, when I will talk about my first week of classes at
UNO.
We, 8th Aug – the first visit of downtown OmahaOmaha, sunny. No, not sunny but HOT AS HELL. (The hairstyle is keeping.)
At 106° F (41
°C) Jan and I went outside and drove with the bus downtown and walked through Heartland of America Park. We were nearly the only people there, but
a lot of wild geese stayed with us in the burning sun.
Once we
were hard boiled we went to Old Marked and looked inside some of the shops. I
need to get back to them; there were some very funny things and possible gifts
for my friends in Germany.
But we went
home early. I used some of the Maggi Fix and we had a relaxed evening before
Jan had to go back to Iowa City.
